San Diego, CA

We are back to San Diego, but weirdly enough it doesn't feel like we are home. I feel like I left home and came back to where I live. They always say home is where ever you are, but after such an amazing trip I feel like my home is on the East Coast. I did wake to the shinning sun and beautiful weather, which made me realize I will still be here for a little while.

We had so much fun and it felt like one of the longest vacations I've been on. We were able to see so many friends and family that it seemed almost impossible. Event though we crammed in so much we were also able to relax and not think about work for a week. Thanks to all the friends and family who let us stay with them, drove us around, and hung out with us, it was great seeing you all.

So this whole trip, I played around with a Location program I downloaded for my iPhone. It basically figures out your position in the world as accurately as possible using cell phone signal triangulation. It usually has about a 2000 ft acuracy, but it can go from 4000 ft all the way down to 500 ft. So during the trip I would open this program get a location and close it at most of the places I went. So below is a picture showing a zoom in of the New Jersey/ New York area to show how it works. I will also eventually show you all of the photos I took on a map also.

Click here to see an full scale interactive map. You can zoom in on the different areas to see where I was. It's cool how you can see my flight home too, and how now I'm back at work:

It's pretty amazing technology and soon you will see most phones with location based programs. Let me know what you think.
